We have wonderful works of fiction transcribed into the alternative formats – our library membership is open to children with a visual impairment from all over Ireland. Our new library looks out over the farmyard and Pets Corner, making an interesting addition to our tactile story times. The private reading pods are cosy ‘get away from it all’ spaces for children who need a little peace and quiet for book time. The digital wall allows children to access books through technology and encourages them to write their own stories. We also stock an extensive list of books for parents and professionals living and working with a child with a visual impairment. Membership of the ChildVision library is open to all and now stands at nearly 1500 subscribers from all over Ireland.
