In 2019 AIRE Association of Irish Riding Establishments approached ChildVision to develop a training program for equine professionals so that more of the 147 approved centres would be in a position to offer equine assisted activities at a local level. AIRE is an affiliate of Horse Sport Ireland the governing body for the Equine Industry in Ireland which ensures the highest standards of Coaching, child protection and horse welfare are achieved in AIRE approved centre’s nationally.

The program developed into the Therapeutic Riding Coaching Course (TRCC) and was launched in 2021. Since then, (number depends on response) approved AIRE centres, with multiple instructors, have completed the course and are now offering EAA in their locality.

In addition many other qualified Horse riding instructors have completed the course and are now part of a network of practitioners in this area working together to develop their skills and understanding of Equine Assisted Activities further as a community of practitioners.
