Children with a visual impairment often present with ‘blindisms’. These ‘blindisms’ present as very similar to characteristics of Autism Spectrum DIsorder.
This talk will discuss typical and atypical social, pragmatic development. It will examine social, pragmatic difficulties with the visually impaired population and discuss what is not considered typical of visual impairment and when additional help should be sought.
