Celebrating Chinese New Year at ChildVision: Welcome to the Year of the Horse!
This week, communities around the world are welcoming Chinese New Year, and 2026 brings us something particularly special: it’s the Year of the Horse.
Here at ChildVision, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by shining a light on some of the most beloved members of our community: our wonderful horses at the Jack de Bromhead Equine Centre.
These incredible horses play a vital role in supporting children and young people with visual impairments, helping them build confidence, balance, communication, sensory awareness, and emotional wellbeing. Their calm presence and gentle movement bring joy and empowerment to so many families who pass through our gates.
To mark the occasion, we have created a set of exclusive ChildVision colouring pages, inspired by the horses who make such a difference each day.

We invite children, families, schools, and supporters everywhere to join in the celebration by colouring in these beautiful illustrations.
Or if you’re on campus, you can also pick up printed copies in our Library or at the Jack de Bromhead Equine Centre.
Why Colouring?
Colouring can be:
• calming and regulating
• a fun sensory-friendly activity
• a lovely way to connect with the theme of the Year of the Horse
• an opportunity to learn about our equine assisted therapy work
Whether you’re celebrating Chinese New Year at home, in school, or with friends, we hope these pages bring a bit of ChildVision magic to your day.
From all of us at ChildVision, we wish you a Happy Chinese New Year filled with hope, happiness, and new beginnings.
Here’s to the Year of the Horse: a symbol of strength, energy, and compassion, qualities we see every day in our young people and in the incredible horses who support them.
