A Night to Remember at the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball 2026

On Saturday, 18 April, ChildVision was honoured to attend the Lord Mayor of Dublin’s Charity Ball, a truly memorable evening celebrating generosity, community and shared purpose.


We are incredibly grateful to the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam, for selecting ChildVision as one of this year’s chosen charities. To be included in such a prestigious event was a wonderful recognition of the work we do and the children and families we support every day.


The evening itself was a fantastic occasion, filled with warmth, energy and goodwill. It was a pleasure to join our fellow charity partners, FirstLight and Down Syndrome Ireland, and an absolute joy to be named alongside them in support of such important causes. The sense of solidarity and shared commitment on the night was truly special. We managed to raise a record €163,000!


Finally, we want to say a very special thank you to all of our supporters who generously donated auction prizes. Your kindness and creativity played a vital role in the success of the auction and helped raise essential funds to support our work.


Events like the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball remind us of the power of community and collective generosity. We are deeply thankful to everyone who played a part in making the night such a success and for standing with ChildVision in support of children with visual impairment and their families.


We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who purchased a table and attended the ball. Your support made a significant contribution to the success of the evening and to the impact it will have for the charities involved.


Our sincere thanks also go to the Lord Mayor’s team and the staff of the Round Room, who delivered the event seamlessly and did an outstanding job running the auction on the night. The level of organisation, professionalism and enthusiasm brought to the event helped create an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
