Behavioural Challenges: Knowing ‘Why’ tells us “What’ we can do
Delivered by Dr. Rita Honan, Ph.D,BCBA-D
Challenging Behaviour always occurs with good reason from the child or client’s point of view. This workshop will explore how to go about identifying the ‘Why’ which helps point us toward the ‘What’ to do about it.
Multiple variables contribute to a problem behaviour with regard to the child/client’s abilities, disabilities, environmental conditions and motivational variables. Pinpointing these contributes to ideas to make changes to reduce or eliminate the ‘challenge’.
Using examples from the workshop participants, we’ll follow a system for all to use in their personal circumstances.
