Children and adults who experience sight loss, hearing loss or both, sometimes also become psychologically distressed, especially if sensory impairment is progressive, fluctuating or sudden. Children sometimes react by negative behaviours, while older children and adults may instead become sad and withdrawn.

Dr. Jan van Dijk, who has worked for many years with children and adults experiencing dual sensory impairment, often with additional disabilities, will share his insights into their lives, will offer us ideas for supporting their mental health and reducing the risk of psychological distress.   Click on the link for further details and Booking Form.
